Wilton Method - Cake Decorating Schools in Korea

I've recently been asked about cake decorating schools in Korea but outside of Seoul.  The one that was asked by Stacey for a school in Ulsan, it's called JJ Cake.  For a more comprehensive list of authorised Wilton dealers and schools/instructors click here.  Korea is on page 14.

  1. Gerry! Thanks again !! I managed to take a one-day class at JJ Cake and made the cutest sugar craft babies^^! I went to the baking store here(yes, just one store) to buy some of the cute cutters the teacher used... Oh my... 40,000 for a set of 4 flower shaped plunger-type cutters... Imported from PME in England... I' m keeping my eye out for the " knock-off" version. ... Lol *^^*

  2. Oh yes, those plungers are not cheap! I have only seen the ones by PME so far and those are actually good. I have used them too and the good thing about those are they have a spring plunger which makes it easier to get the flower out. There are some stencils or cutters that don't have the plunger function. For those you need an additional implement like a rounded modelling tool to push it out gently. So it's actually worth getting the plunger type. I was about to get them in Malaysia but decided against it. I later found out they are actually cheaper here.

I did however succumb to a butterfly plunger cutter which you saw sitting prettily on my Strawberry Cupcakes I made for the SIWA coffee morning. ; )
